About Us

From our specialty in Early Childhood Education, the Center for Early Childhood Education Professionals was created to support individuals who own, operate and work in licensed child care facilities.

Our History

CECEP - BMHR, has more than 23 years of experience working in Early Childhood Education and operating licensed childcare facilities. As operating managers, directors and former owners of 6 licensed childcare facilities, we have weathered the storms of being in the business since 1996, and we’re ready to pass the knowledge on to participants of our online training courses and programs. Our experiences range from starting a licensed child care operation from scratch and wearing multiple hats which include but were not limited to the role of a cook, teacher, director, maintenance person, janitor, bookkeeper, and so much more. CECEP is hands on familiar with the process of complying with Child Care Licensing standards, known as “Minimum Standards.” These guidelines set by Texas Health and Human Services Commission, include a wide range of responsibilities that licensed childcare facilities and homes are expected to follow; to STAY in business. The Minimum Standards includes but is not limited to ratios for the number of children in a certain amount of space, the number of children per teacher, food and nutrition that's appropriate for various age groups, submitting background checks and fingerprinting, ensuring that teachers get the appropriate hours in annual trainings, implementing age appropriate activities per age group, designing and implementing age appropriate lesson plans, creating menus and ensuring hazardous items are kept out of reach of children; to name a few.
